How to dress fashionably

Beauty is not always in the eye of the beholder, is it? Fashion can be very superficial and the exclusive domain of a select few. But it's easier than you think to take the right steps to gain confidence and build a fashionable wardrobe.

Laying the basis

1-Throw out your closet. Take out all your clothes and decide which ones you want to keep and which ones you don't. Donate, sell or rearrange anything you haven't worn in a year (that's not in season), anything that no longer fits or is not your taste.

You won't miss the garment if you haven't worn it in a year. Thinking: "I might need it one of these days! "you'll think that the rest of the time you have nothing to wear. Get rid of it. Someone else might like your stuff again.

If you have piles of clothes that don't fit at all anymore, don't keep them in the hopes that you can put them back. Keep some favorite pieces, but get rid of the rest. A closet full of clothes that no longer fit can be very depressing.

2-Know your body type and dress accordingly. The most fashionable outfits of the moment won't look good on you if you don't have the body type to wear them. This doesn't mean you're too strong, too skinny, too tall or too short. It's just that you don't have the right figure for the cut.

Get rid of everything that doesn't fit. And you'll know how to make the right choice. If your figure isn't quite what it should be, you probably won't wear these things.

When shopping, keep your body type in mind. For most women, the ideal garment should define the waist and lengthen the legs. If you don't know what to choose, you can always ask a sales professional for advice, they are there to make you look great

3- Look at yourself carefully in the mirror. Try to look at yourself as objectively as possible. Decide what you like and what you don't like about your physical appearance. What do you intend to hide? What do you want to emphasize? What are your favorite colors?

It's important that you have an answer to these questions before you go shopping so that you know what to buy! If you have no idea, it can be very embarrassing to update your wardrobe.

Finding your own style

Know what your style is. What do you like to wear? Do you want to introduce trendy elements to your wardrobe or do you prefer a more classic look? Are you the type to wear low-rise pants? Do you want to become a fashion pro? Being fashionable doesn't mean you have to adhere to a specific look. It means finding what you're comfortable in and what fits you.

Take the time to browse through catalogs or sites that offer and sell clothing. There are tons of pieces that will look fantastic on you, you just have to find them.

Look at what others are wearing. You don't have to copy them, but you can look for influences to change your style.

You'll eventually feel more confident wearing the clothes you love and feel good in. It's less about current fashions and more about appreciating who you are today, although the two are related.
